VoIP vs landline costs for small businesses
A traditional landline means line rental per line, plus call charges and hardware. Cloud VoIP is priced per user, works on the devices you already own and needs no copper line at all.
How landline costs add up
A traditional business landline usually carries monthly line rental for each line, separate call charges, and often an on-site phone system that needs maintenance. Adding a new line or moving office can mean engineer visits and installation fees.
How VoIP is priced
Cloud VoIP is priced per user per month. Each user gets a virtual line that rings on our desktop app for Windows and our mobile app for iOS and Android, so there is no copper line to rent and no hardware to buy unless you want desk phones.
Connesso's Essential plan is £10.80 per user per month including 20% VAT, with all inbound calls included. The Everyday plan is £15.00 inc. VAT and adds a 2,000 minute outbound bundle and priority support.*
The hidden savings
Staff can answer business calls from home or on the road, adding a user takes minutes rather than an engineer visit, and you keep your existing number. With the copper network being retired by January 2027, VoIP also avoids paying for a line that is about to be switched off.
Which is right for you?
If you have a handful of staff and want a professional local number on their phones, the Essential plan is usually enough. Busier teams that make lots of outbound calls tend to choose Everyday. For multi-site setups we build a custom plan.
